Job DescriptionThe Superintendent is the key role to plan, organize, and prepare the site logistics. Schedule all subcontractors to assure the most efficient sequencing of activities. Provide for all field activities related to a project including on-site field administration, supervision and technical management of all construction operations, supervision of assistants, foremen, subcontractors and other construction-related personnel. Provide quality control by studying contract documents and questioning all uncertain details. Continuously walk the job and inspect each trades work and compare work-in-place to the contract documents. Continuously search for problems and resolve them before the work is executed. Verify implementation of all corrections for non-conformance and punch list items. Ensure final product meets or exceeds contract documents and the customers needs and requirements within the construction scope and budget.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Technical Skills:Develop, maintain and enforce a project site logistics and temporary facilities planImplement, maintain and enforce project site safety programsCoordinate and manage all material deliveries and subcontractsAssist the Project Manager in the preparation of the scope of work for subcontractors and bid packagesProvide input to the Project Manager on field activities impacting the Change Order processDevelop schedules for the successful start-up and turnover of all systems to the clientImplement SWPPP measures and documentationImplement street cleaning plan per AHJAssist Project Manager with the preparation of Project Status Reports (PSR)Possess knowledge of all documents associated with the project including plans, specifications, contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings and submittalsMaintain a complete and accurate set of working documents and As-BuiltsProvide technical assistance to all members of the project teamCoordinate all field inspections and testingManagement Skills:Develop, implement, maintain and enforce a project-specific quality control program to include all subcontractorsMonitor all job site control reporting measuresConduct weekly coordination meetings and document with meeting minutesPrepare and maintain Master SchedulePrepare and maintain two to four week look ahead schedules (pending size of project)Coordinate the timely completion of all punch lists and work completion listsDocument all actions dealing with actual or possible claims/legal actionEnsure all requirements of insurance, labor relations, and EEO are metAssist Project Manager in development of a General Conditions budgetAssist Project Manager as required in preparation of project documentationInterpersonal Skills:Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, inspectors, architect, subcontractors, project team, various CWD departments)Motivate and build teamwork/morale in the project teamPromote Far West Contractors values and goals with the project team, client and subcontractorsPosition Requirements:Education and/or Experience:A combination of education and experience equivalent to: Five to ten years related commercial construction management experience.Minimum Qualifications:Proficient in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)Proficient Micro Soft Project similar project scheduling software and be capable of maintaining the project schedule and developing 3-week look-ahead schedules and milestonesDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of construction delivery systems, the construction administration processes, building trades, and technical aspects of construction including means and methods, materials, building systems, planning, scheduling and estimatingProven leadership qualities, leading the team from design, preconstruction, and construction phasesStrong teambuilding skills, able to provide guidance, coaching and motivation in a challenging and autonomous work environment.Results-oriented with a demonstrable track record of delivering various scale projects on time and on budget, meeting rigorous quality and safety standards, and ending with satisfied ClientsFlexible, team oriented, and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentDecisive and work well under pressure and deal effectively with unexpected issuesCompletion of OSHA Ten-Hour Safety CourseEffective written and verbal language communication skillsWell developed and proven negotiating skillsEffective time management and organization skillsFirst Aid/CPR certifiedCONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENTCompany DescriptionMust be a US Citizen/Person Must provide a recent resume, and recent addressThis job is in the Orange County Los Angeles areaFor more info go to submit full resume to info@
